UPDATE: Starting in June 2019 I became the VP / GM / GSM at WBKO in Bowling Green Kentucky.

Starting in October 2015 through June 2019 I was the VP/GM of KMVT/KSVT/The CW in Twin Falls Idaho. My passion and skills were formed from my experiences as the digital sales and marketing manager at WKYT/WYMT. After taking on my role my skill sets and role has changed. Accountant, referee, cheerleader, motivator, communicator, problem solver, IT, custodian and HR are a few things I do and usually on a daily basis. Though I don’t get to work on digital on a daily basis I am still passionate about it.

When I was Director of Digital Sales and Marketing for WKYT.com covering Lexington and WYMT.com in Eastern Kentucky I have worked with both staffs to develop the top local news website for traffic and revenue. As an early adopter who eagerly anticipates changes in media technology, I have helped meet revenue budgets year after year by understanding technologies and trends.

My initiative in driving sales for WKYT and WYMT has resulted in digital revenue growth year to year. Achieving this goal includes managing the sales process for sixteen television account executives, and two full time digital sales people as well as a digital sales assistant. The sales process includes developing digital campaigns, internally selling to the account executives, presenting to clients and executing the campaign online. Understanding display ads, pre-roll, mobile, social media, data capture and all facets of digital advertising has helped many of our advertisers expand their business – making us a leader in digital advertising.

In 2014 Gray Television launched Local X Marketing to offer website development, SEM, SEO, Reputation Management, Social Media Management and E-Commerce. WKYT and WYMT were first and second for revenue the first year for Local X marketing. As digital sales manager launching Local X Marketing for WKYT and WYMT has been my responsibility.

Other responsibilities included the management of all web marketing projects for both television stations. My responsibilities included developing relationships and building trust with general managers, news directors, news staffs and sales managers for both stations. The key to success is the ability to adjust strategies as technologies, marketing trends and viewer habits change. Managing multiple stations budgets, sales staffs and support staffs gives me a unique perspective providing me with the tools to meet any challenge. All of these have helped me adjust to my present position.
